I couldn't help but put this on. The irony of moving forward and using technology for learning to help our students and the province no longer continuing technology assisted learning.

Are you kidding me? Why would they do that? Does it always come down to money?
Does the Ministry of Education dropping technology reflect a lack of funding, or a reality that a lot of school divisions are offering courses online?
I checked out the list of divisions of online courses offered by different divisions (http://www.skdistancelearning.ca/)and it looks like online classes aren't disappearing, just getting handed off to school divisions. I'm curious though if the funding, administration and the number of students allowed to enroll will change.
Hi, Ran into your blog while doing a search. One thing to keep in mind is that school divisions actually do a better job of providing online coures than TSL ever would. School divisions do have the potential to have complete internal capacity, such as ours in the North East. So in a sense Sask Learning sees the writing on the wall. The number of courses taught by divisions is not reflected in the skdistancelearning.ca site. In our case we have 30 online courses happening but only post a couple on there.
